Reasons to Not Move To Hawaii « Stuff Important to Me »

Or, at least, the North Shore.

This might be a good time to pray for Venomous Kate, too. She was having big problems with property erosion just last year, and this won't help any, I can tell ya.

I know you don't drop by there much, so you wouldn't know this, but she actually moved to Kansas City (I think it was KC...I don't go by much of anywhere much these days, you know, and I'm prone to forget those sorts of details) a few weeks ago.

Big waves still suck, tho.

"Much"? Let's just say she's not one my daily reads. I'd wager I'm not one of hers, either.

In any case, I'm not going to live on the North Shore when I get there.

Well, speaking as someone who lived there for 5+ years (but *still* not a surfer), 50 foot waves for lots of people out there is, like, surfing NIRVANA!

At the least, it's powerful to watch, and much better than a tsunami ;) LOL

I was there for just under 5 years, and I didn't surf even once, either.
I snorkeled at Hanauma Bay several times, tho! Before they started charging.

There are many things I'm looking forward to.

I guess I'm insufficiently adventurous. :-)

If VK's got 50-foot waves in Kansas City, I'd say there are bigger reasons to pray...
