Has anyone else noticed all the headlines and lead stories on cable calling attention to the fact that there's only been one combat-related death in Iraq for seven days?*

Yeah, I haven't, either.

*Sure, it doesn't mean we've turned a corner or anything...but shouldn't a little footwork by some real journalists uncover some reason for the significantly low casualty total for the last week? They certainly let us hear all about it (although still without much context) when the casualty totals are higher, so why not the reverse? Huh. You'd almost think there's an agenda at work behind this sort of thing...
