I Must Be A Real Jerk « Blogging »

Because everyone who comments on Dean's World seems to hate my opinions.

I like to think I that I merely think outside the box and that offends the people who like conventional thinking.

But since this is happened how many times, Dean? Three? Four? I gotta start asking myself if maybe they don't have a point.

Ah, well, I gotta be me. And I appreciate the traffic, in any case. Note to self: "Find something else to write about that pisses people off." If I find the right topic, I might even get a link from Mr. Reynolds! I might have something, soon. Keep watching this space.

Naw, Nathan, you aren't a jerk. Not at all. But you just demonstrated one of the reasons I blog so little anymore: it's just too damned exhausting to offer opinions outside the mainstream. I don't have the patience to have that kind of conversation the way that you do.

Thanks for that piece, by the way. It's cool to get a totally different perspective from time to time. I love it when you do that...makes me think and stuff. :)

Well, trying to put Tiananmen Square into that kind of perspective was bound to ruffle feathers. And I'm afraid I don't buy that perspective either.

But you're not a jerk.

Tian'anmen was a side issue. But this post was self-deprecating and unimportant, anyway. It's just my way of reducing my emotional commitment to the issue.

I realized I chose bad wording..."energy" is probably more appropriate than "patience." I used to love the controversies, but I don't have so much time for them anymore.

In any case, you're still not a jerk. FWIW, you're one of those people I can disagreee with violently from time to time and still enjoy reading.

I'm meandering. Sorry about that.

Ditto for me. :)

Yes, please Nathan, keep being you. Actually, you're one of the few people that I read that I can completely agree with and that is very refreshing to me.

No worries. I have no plans to change anything. I've been enjoying blogging more than ever, actually.
